PORT

Sunday March 18th evening Monday March 19th morning

Peninsula Korean Baptist Church on Harpersville. The kitchen is pretty similar but slightly smaller. Access through double doors in the very back of the building which is just for volunteers. The clients come through a different door.

Mark Avery resigned from the entire fellowship and won't be involved with PORT. Dawn will be picking up the slack there.

Stick with same recipes and cooks as before.

Our committee is assisting the fellowship circle.

Green Sanctuary

Nothing new to report.

Welcoming Congregration

Donna is planning on talking to Dan this Wed. Ongoing reminder to focus on making sure we make it to Out in the Park next time.

SocialConcernsSundays

14 attendees for Super Size Me. Much fun and disgust.

"Peacemaking" http://www.uua.org/csw/CSAI_06-10_P.pdf will be used by Donna and others to feed into a March 25th evening program.

May 27th Charlie will be speaking in the morning. Evening will be his movie and war discussion.

GA

Board meeting for April 11 will decide who is going to GA.

GA is June 20th through 24th in Portland Oregon.

English as a Second Language

There have been many donations, so our contribution will be $20.

Marcy is now taking the items to LINK. (Yay!)

Social Justice Sunday

May 20th - Sandra will be doing the Children's Focus. Mason will take the responsibility for making it happen. The issue will be Darfur. March 26th will have some evidence of progress for Jacquie.

New Business

Genocide, Darfur speaker locally

March 15th 7:00pm

We'll promote in the order of service and on the bulletin board

Darfur Awareness Day

Some statement was supposed to be the March 25th, but 18th would be less of a conflict, so we'll make a presense and Mason will make a comment during joys and concerns.

Nominating a Chairperson

Pam will continue to be our chair by unanimous consent.

Letter Writing Ministry

Buffy gave some material to Pam and we distributed it among ourselves.
