Dead of Summer

6p eat, 7p Jerry plays Monterey Pop Festival. Pam wil contact Anya regarding getting into OOS and uufpnews.

Fall Retreat

3-5 Oct. Mason will check with Donna about doing a dinner at retreat.

Bay Days

5-7 Sept. Should we do voter registration? What other topics should we discuss and prepare for? Science and faith? Promoting SoCo? Registration fee will be $75 by August 1st. Sandra will contact Bay Days regarding application. Mason will ask Patricia about insurance.

TJ Fall Retreat

10-11 Oct in Chapel Hill. 31 Oct-2 Nov in Richmond. Conference is on growth.

GA

Ron Jones gave the Ware Lecture and Sandra ordered the DVD. His talk was on his work in prisons in California. Sat Sept.20 at 6pm will be a pot puck followed by a presentation. Pam will promote to Flame and other venues. Chris will bring projector.

Mason will check on schedule.

PORT

LINK Appreciate Dinner is Sept. 6 frpm 6-8pm. Sandra liked the Korean food last year. Our weeks are First Baptist from Jan 7th-14th and Warwich Memorial UMC from March 11th-18th.

Meeting Dates

SoCo will remain on 4th Monday. Chris will prepare a calendar to go insert into Order of Service.

Peninsula Peace Project

Discussion about possible audiences for teaching peace was held at last meeting. Other locations for the vigil should be considered.

Smithfield Salon

2 August will be on Global Warming.

Fund Raising

SHould we consider approaching the board about a percentage of plate cash being designated for social concerns?
