Agenda Items
Retreat
Sat. evening meal was well received.
PORT
Jan 9-16th is our week. Oct. 30th at 6 or 7pm at First Baptist Church is the organizational meeting for this week. Donna, Pam, and Chris Woods will try to attend. Donna has prepared recipe sheets and volunteer signup sheets.
LINK
The Todd's have been taking items to LINK. Pam will coordiante with Marj to coordinate requests for LINK. Donna will check with David Walsh about shopping list and spring concert.
Welcoming Congregation
A meeting was held on Oct. 11 with Jacquie, Lauren, Judy and Buffy attending. Nov. 2nd will be the next meeting. The hope is to have something ready by the annual meeting.
Lost Boys
Pam and Jerry volunteered to help the African Children's Choir and may have some money coming in from that to go to the Lost Boys.
CROP Walk
$150 in UUFP contributions and 1 walker (Dana) from the UUFP participated. About 100 total walkers attended and the event went smoothly. Next year will hopefully be even bigger and better.
Peacemaking
Workshop at Retreat was last in series. So that SoCo members who were cooking and folks who weren't at the retreat can participate, the workshop "many faces of violence" will be repeated on Feb 24th for SoCo sunday on Feb. 24th.
People's Peace Delegation can't be on Nov. 4th due to Frankie Price Stern's sessions conflicting. Nov. 18th is new time.
Peninsula Peace Project idea will be run by Policy Board.
The next one will be on "Internet Safety". This and all future SoCo Sundays will be held at noon instead of 6pm.
Justice Sunday
Buffy is planning a sermon. SoCo will help out in some way. We're waiting for the UUA to pick a theme.
Next Meeting: Monday, 26 November @ 7:00pm
